There are two airports in Delhi.

1) Indira Gandhi International Airport: Indira Gandhi International Airport, is the International Airport of Delhi is located 24 kilometers south of New Delhi. It is a three-terminal airport with major Airlines from across the world having flights to and from Indira Gandhi International Airport. There is a free bus service at every 30 minutes from one terminal to another. All the terminals are equipped with modern facilities like seating room, resting room, banks, bureaux de change, restaurants, cafes, Internet facility and duty free shopping area. Cabs and taxis are always available for hire on arrival to the Delhi Airport.

DMRC started a special metro ‘Airport Express Line’, timings are as follows:
The first train departs at 04:45 AM from New Delhi Station and at 04:45 AM from Dwarka Sec 21.
The last train departs at 11:30 PM from New Delhi Station and at 11:15 PM from Dwarka Sec 21.

2) Safdarjung Domestic Airport is the oldest airport in the city. It was established during British empire. It played an important role during the World War II as it was part of the South Atlantic air ferry route, and was also used during Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. Now it is used for VVIP helicopter rides to the Indira Gandhi International Airport including the President and the PM.
